Spring pastels!

The weather outside is dismal but that isn’t the case for the high street. Oh yes, Spring has truly sprung!! One of the trends for this season is pastels. They are for every age, every shape, everybody! I have put together a few looks to represent this. Curvy girls, the a-line pink scuba skirt from Primark will accentuate your waist whilst skimming over the lumps and bumps, always a bonus!  Pear shaped ladies can also jump on this one too as the a-line shape is one of the most universally flattering shapes for all shapes. The PVC skirt is not just for the slim ladies, you can just change the top for one that covers the bum or add a blazer or cardigan. Go experiment , have fun, go pastel!!!

P-P-P-P-P-Pick up a peplum

Peplum dresses, tops and skirts were out in force for spring summer 2012 and they are set to continue for Autumn/Winter. A peplum is a short overskirt or ruffle attached to the waist of the garment. This does suit most body types but as it could emphasise a tummy, apple shapes should really steer clear. If you are pear shape and have quite wide hips, go for a sleeker peplum and make sure that you wear at least a cap sleeve on your upper body to balance out the peplum on your hips. One shape that this is fabulous for is an hourglass as it accentuates all the right areas. Happy shopping.

Pencil is the new shape in skirt this season and though I do think this should be a staple in any woman’s wardrobe in black or grey, this printed version will look great on a night out, afternoon trip, anywhere you can!! Just make sure that the rest of the top is toned down, i.e. a white shirt. I do think a coloured pair of shoes in red, blue or green would be the perfect way to finish this outfit off!

I love the leopard print lining just as much as I do the jacket! This is a great chic alternative to a blazer and will look just as great with jeans as it will over a cute dress or pretty skirt.
